Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar: Maratha community advocate Manoj Jarange issued a strong warning to the state government, stating that severe consequences will follow if elections proceed without addressing the Maratha community's demand for reservation. Jarange announced a large gathering at Narayangadh in Beed district during the upcoming Dasara festival, urging Marathas to unite in support. Emphasizing that no compromises will be made on their demands, including the withdrawal of criminal cases against community members statewide, Jarange warned that the state government will face repercussions in the upcoming polls if it continues to disregard the Maratha community's needs. He called for unity within the Maratha community, stressing that their fight for reservation is about dignity and equality. Jarange criticized certain individuals within the ruling party for obstructing progress on the issue by failing to recognize the Maratha community as 'Kunbis' and only offering reservation within the existing OBC quota. Despite promises from Chief Minister Eknath Shinde's government to address the matter, progress has been slow, causing growing dissatisfaction within the community.
